Smoking and Ejaculation Volume

How Quitting Can Lead to Bigger Loads

(Article Medically Reviewed By Dr. Zac Hyde M.D)

Smoking is the one bad habit that everyone agrees is not worth the risk.

Unfortunately, it also happens to be based around one of the most addictive substances on earth.

man-smoking

This has resulted in millions of smokers who want to stop, but can’t, as well as a large number of smokers who’ve simply accepted that they’ll never quit at all.

But while an early death from cancer or emphysema might not be enough to scare smokers straight, the resulting sexual problems may do the trick.

You see, smoking doesn’t just harm your lungs and your heart.

Indeed, plenty of new studies show an increased risk of everything from erectile dysfunction and low libido to total infertility.

On top of this, we now know that smoking takes a big toll on the quality and volume of your orgasms (source).

Smoking and Sexual Health

Cigarettes affect the body in a number of ways – even more than most people think.

Obviously, there’s the damage to the respiratory system, which can lead to increased infections, chronic bronchitis, COPD, and lung cancer.

Then there’s the way it damages your digestive system and ruins skin, hair, and nails, contributing to premature aging.

But while some of the problems listed above can take decades to evolve into noticeable health issues, the way smoking affects your cardiovascular system is both devastating and immediate.

You see, nicotine causes your blood vessels to tighten, restricting the ease with which blood flows through them.

To make matters worse, just a few puffs can dramatically raise your blood pressure at the exact same time.

This would be akin to trying to force golf balls through a hose, and the resulting strain on your veins and arteries ultimately weakens them dramatically.

As you might expect, this can lead to a higher risk of stroke and heart attack.

But that’s not all…

Remember, getting and maintaining an erection relies heavily on the health and holding capacity of your blood vessels.

And since damaged blood vessels don’t operate properly, many male smokers have serious issues getting hard.

In fact, erectile issues have been known to affect men as young as 20 years old!

Then there’s the decreased libido…

Though scientists are still researching the links, studies have shown that there is a direct correlation between nicotine addiction and sexual desire.

In some cases, doctors think that a reduced arousal reaction and lack of penile sensation may cause sexual insecurity, ultimately making smokers want to do the deed far less often.

Smoking and Sperm Quality

If all this wasn’t bad enough, smoking has also been directly linked with increased infertility.

Indeed, one study of some 2,542 healthy men found that smokers had a much lower sperm count as well as much lower sperm quality than non-smokers – a fact that only became worse as they aged.

Other studies showed that the quality and motility of the sperm was drastically affected by long-term smoking.

In one example, the sperm counts of smokers were found to be around 17% lower than that of non-smokers, while cell motility was reduced by 16.6%.

So not only does smoking interrupt the body’s ejaculation production, but it also changes it in such a way as to permanently affect the shape, structure, and health of sperm.

In many cases, this means cells with multiple tails or other mutations that give them little to no chance of survival – let alone fertilization.

These mutations and subsequent damage to the sperm cells are completely unavoidable in smokers, especially those who smoke average around a pack a day.

You see, the many ingredients found in tobacco are so toxic to our bodies that they actually change the DNA of our sperm cells.

This is a “code red” scenario for any man who’s looking to conceive – be it now or years down the line.

Luckily, smoking cessation can provide your body with an opportunity to get back on track.

Cigarettes and Ejaculation Volume

It’s no secret that millions of men out there are actively pursuing larger, more powerful ejaculations.

Not only are these far more pleasurable, but they contribute significantly to sexual potency and confidence.

Unfortunately, if you smoke, you’re literally handicapping your semen volumes right off the bat.

While we’ve just covered how the health and quantity of your sperm can suffer from smoking, that’s not all that can be affected.

Indeed, repeated studies show a direct link between cigarette use and significantly decreased semen volume as well (source).

Indeed, one study of nearly 1,631 otherwise healthy, fertile men found that heavy smokers had roughly 1/3 of the semen volume of non-smokers.

And these stats got worse the older they got (and the longer they smoked).

However, former smokers were found to have recovered some of this volume just six to nine months after quitting.

This seems to indicate that while the effects of smoking are significant, they are not necessarily permanent.

It’s also worth noting that the sexual problems related to smoking are cumulative.

That is, each individual problem works together with others to make the negative reproductive effects even worse.

For instance, where you have lower sperm counts, you have lower semen volume, and where you have poor semen quality, you have a reduced sperm survival rate, and so on.

What is clear is that a lifetime of smoking will leave you struggling to get and stay erect, ejaculating vastly inferior sperm, and suffering “leaky faucet” orgasms at best.

And if that isn’t enough to make you crumple up those Camels…

Some men have found that prolonged tobacco use actually gives their semen a yellowish tint, which will be a major detriment to your sex life.

Resisting Tobacco Cravings

It’s easy to recommend that people quit smoking, but it’s another thing to actually provide them with solutions.

As we mentioned at the beginning of this article, nicotine is one of the most addictive substances on the planet – it’s not something you can just “give up” at random.

Indeed, many people try to quit and fail every day.

Others succeed only to return to the drug weeks, months, or even years later.

So, to help you in your quest for bigger, more pleasurable orgasms, we’ve included some great ways to resist cigarette cravings along your quitting journey.

  • Nicotine Replacement Therapy – From gum and lozenges to medications like Zyban and Chantix, medical science offers a number of ways for you to cut your cravings. There are even special inhalers and nasal sprays you can use every time you feel the itch for a smoke. These are great ways to start quitting now, so you can enjoy a better sex life later.
  • Avoiding Triggers – If you smoke when you drink or when you take breaks at work, changing those habits can help solidify your efforts to quit. Ideally, you’d replace each situation with something positive like jogging or pushups, but simply distracting yourself is often good enough to stave off the urge to light up.
  • Work it Out – Even the most dedicated smoker doesn’t feel like taking a drag after a long session at the gym. By introducing more physical activity into your routine, you can not only cut smoking out of your life but start the healing process by giving both your lungs and heart a nice workout.

Smoking and Ejaculation volume-Conclusion:

Tons of men want to pursue those “porn star” ejaculations, but the chances of achieving even a fraction of that volume are slim to none if you’re still regularly lighting up.

Fortunately, you can start to see increases in your seminal volume within a few weeks of quitting, which may be enough of an incentive to keep you on the path to total cessation.

Remember, your body is a temple, and all of the rooms are connected in one way or another.

While you may view smoking as a lung and heart problem and not a penis and testicle problem, science is here to tell you otherwise.

Whether you want to pump up the volume on your ejaculations or merely get back to “normal,” the first step should be making smoking a problem of the past.
